Description of the project

As a new initiative, the large scale national campaign for adolescent and school-aged children de-worming had to be closely monitored and documented, so as to generate lessons  learnt to inform future planning. UNICEF proposed that this  should include formative assessment to better understand the perceptions of the target communities on adolescent de- worming, and implementation of knowledge, attitudes and practice (KAP) surveys about adolescent nutrition. These will be used to influence the design of relevant communication  materials and may also be used to generate a baseline against which KAP progress can be measured. The assignment was commissioned to PRIN International and the field level works were completed and the draft reports have been submitted to UNICEF. The Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education  have been monitoring the project closely.
