Description of the project
The main objective of the study was to examine school improvement planning [SIP] practices and school grant [SG] disbursement and utilization in light of intermediate outcomes of the results framework and monitoring of GEQIP II, school improvement planning framework, and school grant guideline and propose ways of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of these efforts. Based on the objectives specified for the evaluation, the study covered broad areas of school improvement process including- School improvement planning process, school leadership’s commitment to plan-based change at school level and adequacy of planned strategies; awareness about school grant, efficiency and effectiveness of school grant flow, utilization of school grant and management of school grant [in terms of maintaining transparency and accountability];and emerging impacts of school improvement planning and school grant scheme in terms of improved conditions of learning, community participation and better learning outcomes for all students. The study covered all regions, 5% of primary schools, and 10% secondary schools across the country
